This shelter in place has been very difficult for the citizens of Louisiana. Orthopedic problems have not stopped and our office remains open during these difficult times to care for any orthopedic needs you may have. We are still seeing patients in our offices. Until this shelter in place is lifted, we have consolidated our offices to Leesville and Mansura, Louisiana. In addition, just before the shelter in place took effect, we had moved our Leesville office. Our current Leesville address is; 1106 Port Arthur Terrace Leesville, La 71446. It is 100 yards East of Byrd Regional Hospital. Our second office is located in Mansura with the address of; 376 Cocoville Road Mansura, La 71350. We are fully staffed and able to see any orthopedics during this difficult time.
For the safety of the citizens of Louisiana and to make sure we have adequate medical supplies, all elective surgery has been placed on hold until this sequester is lifted and there are adequate medical supplies available to all the hospitals both locally and in the United States. However, we are fully able to perform emergent orthopedic surgery. Byrd Regional Hospital has done a wonderful job of isolating the possible and confirmed viral infections from the main hospital. Thus the surgical suites have been protected of any viral contamination to the best of the hospitals’ ability.
Likewise in our office we have tried to eliminate any possible viral contamination. We ask if you have any fever above 100 degrees, if you are feeling ill or have any respiratory symptoms such as cough or shortness of breath, to call our office before you come. If you have possible exposure to the virus or symptoms we will try to work out a way that we can care for your orthopedic needs without possibly contaminating the office for non-viral exposed patients, so please call our office.
If there are any questions whether you should come to the office please do not hesitate to call before you come. We are doing our best to ensure there is no spread in our office with increased cleaning and decontaminations, but we would like to avoid any possible infected patients that come into the offices during these difficult times.
Again, we are available to take care for your orthopedic needs during this difficult time to the best of our abilities.
